1. What do you love about ADPi?
ADPi is a place where I know that I'll always be loved for who I am. There are tons of girls who I look up to and part of that is because of the way they selflessly love others! ADPi consists of SO many different personalities, but each one is so fun and so genuine. There isn't a typical ADPi - and that's what I love about it!
2. What do you value in friendships?
The friendships that ADPi has brought me are so special and so fun!! Coming into college, making friends was one of my biggest concerns. God quickly took that worry and gave me a HUGE blessing through amazing friendships with some of the coolest girls I know. My closest friends are each so unique, but they all come together to create one of the most fun groups of girls!! They add so much to my everyday life here - encouragement, accountability, wisdom, lots of laughs, and way more. They're always up to join me on some late night adventures, but they're also the ones who drag me to the library. They love on me during the hard days and they celebrate with me on the happy days!!
3. Most adventurous thing you've done?
This one is hard for me!! I almost went skydiving last summer... I drove to the place, had paid and everything, but my friend "got sick" (aka chickened out). I've had lots of small moments of feeling adventurous, but haven't had a grand adventure yet. I've climbed a mountain in South Korea at sunrise, I'm currently taking a scuba diving class, and last semester I learned how to skateboard! I love being outside and doing fun things but haven't yet had my moment - the most adventurous thing I've ever done is unknown but soon to come!!!
4. Most impactful thing in your life thus far?
Earlier this semester, I was baptized at my new home church of ACC. I got to share my testimony in front of everyone and then got baptized, and all my friends and family were there. It was really cool to be able to share with everyone what the Lord has been doing in my life and to obey Him through publicly sharing my faith. That's definitely the most impactful thing that I've been able to experience so far at Auburn.
5. What is the best piece of advice you've received?
Before coming to Auburn, several people gave me the same piece of advice about my time in college. They said that you have to be so intentional about friendships. I didn't really know what that meant, because at home, my friends had been constant for years. After moving here, that piece of advice made so much sense. You've got to put effort into getting to know people and developing relationships - they don't just happen! It was really tough at first to be without friends for the first time in my life, but every freshman struggles with that! After lots of patience and waiting, God showed me girls who I know will always be there for me, and I am so thankful!!
